Alice stuffed what little she had in her bag, with a sniffle. He hates me, he hates me, and I don’t know what I did.She repeated to herself over and over in her mind. Her life was over, she had nowhere to go, nothing to do. She definitely couldn’t find her father on her own. She had known not to trust nobody because you only end up hurt. I shouldn’t have but I did, like a stupid little girl. Alice picked up the small stuffed bunny Cheve had won her at a carnival,  she thought about taking it but it would only be a reminder. Her attention turned to the corner where a small girl stood watching her, swallowing the painful lump in her throat she spoke quietly “Ivy..”

Ivy yelped quietly from her spot by the door. She didn’t think Alice knew she was there. Moving forward, she stopped in front of her. Alice and her had started getting closer over the passed few weeks, and had begun comfortably calling her mom. “Mom? Where are you going?” 

Tears now flooded her eyes, “I have to go away, now..” She pulled a fake smiled, and keeled to Ivy’s height. She honestly had no idea what to say, “Everything is going to be fine.” she squeaked more trying to reassure herself than Ivy. Running her fingers through the girl’s hair, “Promise to be good, and try not to get into any trouble, okay?”
